Trevor Sorbie, Hairdresser

Trevor's journey began in Essex, where he entered his father's barbershop at just 14 years old. His passion for hairstyling ignited, and over the ensuing decade, he evolved into one of the hairdressing industry's foremost figures.
In the 1970s, Trevor's groundbreaking "wedge cut" captured the attention of Vogue Magazine and was the first double page hair feature in the publication, propelling him to explore new creative frontiers. Leading him to declare, "If I can do it once, I can do it again."

His extraordinary talents earned him the distinction of being the first hairdresser to win British Hairdresser of the Year four times, a testament to his unmatched expertise. He also holds the distinction of being the first hairdresser to receive an MBE for services to British Hairdressing, from her late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
Today, Trevor has been named as the Global Honorary Patron of the 'Alternative Hair Show,' an honour that holds special significance due to the event's charitable focus on 'Fighting Leukemia.'

Trevor’s Training and education has produced more British hairdressers of the year than any other company. He has been a fantastic mentor to his artistic directors, such as Angelo Seminara, Tom Connell, Sally Brooks, Eugene Souleiman, Antoinette Beenders, Giuseppe Stelitano and others.
