To create cationic liposomes, Cosmax has used chitosan, a cationic polymer derived from non-animal mushrooms. This makes the ingredient vegan-compliant and minimizes skin irritation. While liposomes exhibit effectiveness on their own, concerns arose about achieving optimal effects when incorporated into cosmetic formulations. To address these concerns, we conducted clinical evaluations. Liposomes containing niacinamide, a brightening ingredient, were prepared and applied to the formulation. The control group included anionic liposomes (typically negatively charged) containing niacinamide and niacinamide directly applied to the formulation. The results indicated an enhanced brightening effect when niacinamide was included in PlusSome. These clinical trials confirmed that the choice of skin delivery system can impact the quality of the product, even with the same ingredients.
